Darren H. Peligro (b. 1960, Saint Louis, Missouri, real name: Derron Hensley ) was the drummer for the classic punk band Dead Kennedys on the albums Plastic Surgery Disasters, Frankenchrist, and Bedtime for Democracy. The name Peligro means "Danger" in Spanish. His drumming can also be heard on the EP In God We Trust, Inc. and the posthumous (for the band) retrospective, Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death. He has also drummed with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Nailbombs, and S.S.I. Peligro is one of the former members that has filed criminal complaints against former frontman Jello Biafra, accusing Biafra of withholding royalties and creative privilege to license Dead Kennedys songs.
A solo album of sorts, called Peligro [D.H.] was released in 1995 on Biafra's own Alternative Tentacles record label.
D.H. Peligro also sings and plays guitar in his band called Peligro. Peligro's sound is known to be sludgy punk rock with a taste of funk. He recently made a punk rock cover of Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze. As well as Peligro, he has fronted bands such as Reverend Jones and the Cool Aid Choir, Al Sharpton's Hair and The Hellions.
