Düzce is a province in northwestern Turkey. It is on the coastline on the Black Sea and is traversed by the main highway between Istanbul and Ankara. The main town is Duzce. There are Greek ruins in the province.
Akcakoca is a town on the shore of the Black Sea which has a beach.
Düzce broke off from Bolu and became a province in its own right after a devasting earthquake in the city in November 1999.
