Cryptopsy

Cryptopsy is a Canadian Technical Death Metal quintet from Montreal, Quebec. Originally they were known as Necrosis when they started in 1992. They are currently signed to Century Media. The band's 1996 release, "None So Vile", is considered to be a landmark technical Death Metal album, and help mark the way of the music's development and chaotic style. Cryptopsy drew praise and criticism alike for their change of singers and gravitation towards a more rhythmic influenced style focusing more on odd and off-time sigatures. They now stand to be considered a defining point of extreme music's proficiency in technique and originality, taking in diverse elements of music for influence and pushing forward a creative vision that remains extreme. Cryptopsy released their fourth full length studio album in 2000 - ...And Then You'll Beg and currently have a new album lined up to be released around the summer of 2005.

Flo Mounier is exceptionally well-known throughout the extreme music community as well as other musical communities for his relentless and technically proficient style. He has done a number of art shows showcasing his talents, as well as being on a number of TV shows.
