Crozet is a census-designated place located in Albemarle County, Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 2,820.

Crozet is located at 38°4'12" North, 78°42'6" West (38.069922, -78.701576)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 9.7 km² (3.7 mi²). 9.7 km² (3.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
The town was named after Claudius Crozet, civil engineer who directed the construction of the Blue Ridge Tunnel in 1858.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,820 people, 995 households, and 757 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 291.9/km² (755.7/mi²). There are 1,041 housing units at an average density of 107.8/km² (279.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 91.91% White, 5.89% African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.60% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 1.17% from two or more races. 1.60% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 995 households out of which 38.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% are married couples living together, 11.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% are non-families. 20.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.68 and the average family size is 3.07.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 86.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 82.9 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP is $46,275, and the median income for a family is $53,125. Males have a median income of $30,805 versus $25,407 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $18,647. 3.3% of the population and 1.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 2.4% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Recreation
- Crozet Park (http://www.crozetpark.org) is a recreational facility open to all. The park's 22 acres include a swimming pool, one-acre pond, baseball and T-ball fields, soccer field, basketball courts, 2 large picnic pavilions, 2 new playgrounds and ample space for other activities. The park has beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is close to downtown Crozet.
Culture
Crozet Pizza is the totality of Crozet culture. Photographs of the owners' forebearers grace the walls. Travelers come from the University in Charlottesville, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world to visit, leaving their business cards stapled to the walls as a historical memento.
