Creston is a town located in Lincoln County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 232.

History
Creston was officially incorporated on April 20, 1903. It was named so because of its high altitude, due to the fact that it is the highest town in Washington State between Wenatchee and Spokane. The final surviving member of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid's infamous Wyoming Hole-in-the-Wall gang, Harry Tracy, was shot at a Creston ranch and killed himself there.

Creston is located at 47°45'29" North, 118°31'16" West (47.758146, -118.521118)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 232 people, 115 households, and 64 families residing in the town. The population density is 203.6/km² (524.5/mi²). There are 131 housing units at an average density of 115.0/km² (296.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 92.67% White, 0.86% African American, 3.45% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 3.02% from two or more races. 0.86% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 115 households out of which 20.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.0% are married couples living together, 7.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 43.5% are non-families. 40.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.02 and the average family size is 2.71.
In the town the population is spread out with 19.4% under the age of 18, 5.2% from 18 to 24, 21.1% from 25 to 44, 27.6% from 45 to 64, and 26.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 48 years. For every 100 females there are 98.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 79.8 males.
