Cowboys From Hell is Pantera's fifth album and the first Elektra Records album. Released on July 24, 1990 (see 1990 in music). This was their breakthrough album, exposing the band's choppy rhythms and dissonant vocals to mainstream audiences for the first time. Driven by guitarist Diamond Darrell, the band screeches through its songs.
On the Billboard Music Charts Heatseekers, Cowboys from Hell peaked at #27.
