Conner McKnight

Conner McKnight is a fictional character in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. He was played by James Napier.
Powers
Conner was a soccer player at Reefside High School when he discovered the Red Dino Gem, which gave him super speed and the ability to morph into the Red Ranger. He controlled the Tyrannozord, as well as wielding the Tyrannostaff and Thundermax Saber in combat.
Conner was the first Dino Thunder Ranger to activate the "Super Dino Mode" enhancements on his suit during a fierce battle with the then-evil White Dino Thunder Ranger.
Later on Conner used the Shield of Triumph to become the Triassic Ranger. After becoming the Triassic Ranger, Hayley created the Mezodon Megazord for Conner to use in Battle.
After meeting his love interest Krista, Conner was able to unlock the final stage of his Dino Powers. When Krista was kidnapped by Zeltrax and her life was in danger Conner used his intense rage to unlock his Battlizer and became the Battlized Triassic Ranger.
In the finale of Dino Thunder, Conner, like all the Rangers, was forced to sacrifice his Dino Gem powers to save the earth.
Personality
Conner's main interest is playing soccer and he aspires to be a famous soccer star. He comes off as arrogant, self-centered, and occasionally sexist. He is constantly labelled a 'dumb jock' by his fellow Ranger, Ethan James. The two of them shared a mild rivalry earlier on in the season.
Conner had a very intense rivalry with Trent Fernandez, the White Ranger. At first, the two were on opposing sides and engaged in intense fights with each other. Even after Trent joined the team, Conner was still very mistrusting and uncomfortable with him.
Conner occasionally doubted himself as a Ranger and thought about quitting on two occasions. Dr. O was the only one who appeared to see Conner's potential and seemingly tried to groom him into a leader role throughout the series.
Conner shares a leadership role with the Black Ranger (Dr. Thomas Oliver). Tommy, being the mentor and most skilled, took on a leadership role sometimes but also held back on some occasions to allow Conner to shine. When Tommy was not in battle, Conner naturally assumed the leadership role.
At the end of Dino Thunder, Conner finally hooks up with Krista and takes her to the High School prom.
Conner or Connor?
One issue with Conner is the misspelling of his name. He makes it clear in the episode Diva In Distress that it's spelt Conner "with an e-r". However, his name is often misspelled as Connor even by the producers (one episode of Dino Thunder had the title The Passion of Connor). The correct spelling is Conner.
