Clement Claiborne Clay, Jr. (December 13 1816 – January 3 1882) was a U.S. senator from the state of Alabama. He was elected to serve the senate term beginning March 4 1853, but the legislature failed to elect someone in time to fill it. He served from November 29 1853 to January 21 1861, when he withdrew from the senate as Alabama seceded from the Union. He was the son of Clement C. Clay, a former senator and governor of Alabama.
