Civil War of the Feeble King
|
In the Matter of Britain, the Civil War of the Feeble King was a legendary war fought in the waning years of the reign of King Leil of the Britons as recounted by Geoffrey of Monmouth. It was begun by optimists in the kingdom who wanted change. Upon Leil's death, open war broke out for control of the kingdom. Leil's son, Rud Hud Hudibras, succeeded his father to the kingship but it took him a number of years to restore peace.
