The term Briton may have the following meanings:
- In an historical context:
- The indigenous inhabitants of Great Britain in pre-Roman time.
- Their descendants in Roman Britain and the period up to the Norman Conquest (referring to Celtic people, as opposed to Romans or Anglo-Saxons).
- In a modern context (sometimes shortened to 'Brit'):
- A resident and/or citizen of the United Kingdom.
- A person indigenous to Great Britain.
