Chuck Knipp

Chuck Knipp is an American comedian best known for creating the popular radio, internet and stage personas "Shirley Q. Liquor," "Betty Butterfield," and "Dr. Williams."
The clerk of the Gulf Coast Quakers and a professional chaplain, the Rev. F. Charles "Chuck" Knipp was ordained by apostolic succession to the Diaconate in 1997 by a bishop of the Friends Catholic Communion. He has previously co-founded an inclusive church congregation in Texas and has perfomed pastoral duties in the Episcopal Church (USA). He has been incardinated since 1998 with the White Robed Monks of St. Benedict.
He is a an ordained minister in the American Unitarian Conference and the Quaker Universalist Fellowship and an affiliate of the Jesus Seminar, a project of the Westar Institute. His ministry now includes officiating traditional weddings as well as Holy Unions. He also offers funeral services for the indigent or those without a church home.
He is a commissioned notary public for the State of Mississippi and a Registered Nurse with extensive background in emergency, intensive care and psychiatric nursing. He graduated from Lamar University in 1984.
Knipp is a citizen of both the United States and Canada, active in the Libertarian Party and was nominated as their candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000. (Texas, District 2)
