Christopher Geppert Cross (born May 3, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American singer. He is best known for composing Arthur's Theme from the Dudley Moore film Arthur which won the Academy Award for best song in 1981 (with co-composers Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen.)
Cross released his self-titled debut album Christopher Cross in 1979, followed a year later with his popular single "Sailing". His second album, Another Page, which came out in 1982, included the hit song "Think Of Laura". Many people associate this song with the "Luke and Laura" plotline of the soap opera General Hospital, which was very popular at the time, but it was actually written about a girl of that name who had recently died in an accident.
