According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 18.9 km² (7.3 mi²). 18.7 km² (7.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.23% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,316 people, 956 households, and 647 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 123.7/km² (320.5/mi²). There are 1,130 housing units at an average density of 60.3/km² (156.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 92.62% White, 0.22% Black or African American, 2.12% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 1.55% from other races, and 2.89% from two or more races. 6.04% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 956 households out of which 32.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.1% are married couples living together, 9.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.3% are non-families. 28.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
