Charles Napier (born April 12, 1936) is an American actor. Napier is a character actor is usually known to play square-jawed tough guys and military types. He made his film debut in Russ Meyer's Cherry, Harry & Raquel! (1970). Napier went on to appear in several Meyer movies, including the homicidal Harry Sledge in Supervixens (1975). Napier also is a regular in Jonathan Demme-directed movies, including Silence of the Lambs. Some of Napier's memorable roles include an intelligence officer after Rambo in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and the short-tempered front man of the Good Old Boys in The Blues Brothers (1980). Served in the military with the 11th Airborne before becoming an actor. His role in the film Hard Times (1975) was cut from the final print. He also provided the growls for 70's television series The Incredible Hulk.
