Doubts about writing system tree
Hope somebody who's watching this feels more bold than I do in the moment.
The point is, that the category tree doesn't match the relations shown in Writing system.
IMHO a) there is no difference between Syllabic and Syllabary and b) Abugida belongs under Alphabetic (alternatively Alphabetic, Abjad, and Abugida together belong under one category I don't know the name of).

Most of my confusions stems from the fact that either we are missing a term for the union of alphabet, abugida and abjad or we are missing a term for those alphabets, which are neither abjads nor abugidas. I.e should we classify
Logographic Syllabic X Alphabet Abugida Abjad
or
Logographic Syllabic Alphabet X Abugida Abjad
or is my X a pink unicorn and it should simply be:
Logographic Syllabic Alphabet Abugida Abjad
But in either case, I'm of the opinion that that any writing system article should only be classified in the most derived category of the this categorization tree.

abugidas
I thought that they could go in both. It says in the alphabet article that abugidas are a type of alphabet.

- As you can see in my above three alternatives, I'm not that sure on this. The argument goes back and forth, and mostly by non-experts in this, for another example see Talk:Devanagari. And other Wikipedia users who are experts in this field seem to be too busy, to help here, sigh...
- But assuming for a moment, that Category:Abugida writing systems is a subcategory of Category:Alphabetic writing systems, than (as far as I have understood the categorization process), only the most fine-grained category , in this case Abugida, should be applied. And, with the possible help of {{Subcategories_inherit}} in Category:Alphabetic writing systems, some bright day in the future , the members of the subcategories can be displayed interactively on the super category's page. Or something like that.
