Canton Valley is a census-designated place located in Hartford County, Connecticut. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,565.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.6 km² (1.8 mi²). 4.6 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,565 people, 749 households, and 409 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 343.3/km² (886.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 96.93% White, 0.58% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.09% from other races, and 1.09% from two or more races. 1.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
