Cagayan de Oro

Cagayan de Oro, or CDO for short, is the capital of the province of Misamis Oriental in the Philippines. It is located at Template:Coor dm, in Mindanao, and had a population of 389,718 in 2000. The city is also the administrative center of the Northern Mindanao region. It is bordered by the province of Bukidnon to the east and south and by the municipality of Manticao, Misamis Oriental to the west. On the north lies Macalajar Bay in the Bohol Sea. Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan is located here. It is known in the Philippines as the 'City of Golden Friendship'. Misamis Oriental is also known for its white-water rafting tours. To the young and exploring entrepreneur, Cagayan de Oro is the last business and modern-development frontier.
