- Commodore Business Machines, Inc. (also commonly referred to as "Commodore") – the typewriter, adding machine, calculator and microcomputer company best known for the famous VIC-20, C64, and Amiga home computers:
- CBM was commonly used incorrectly after 1976 for CBM's mother company, Commodore International, Ltd.
- CBM also denoted some models of Commodore's first line of computers, the PET/CBM range
- CBM was used as part of the name of the PET range's successors, the CBM-II business computers (aka Commodore's "B-range")
- CBM as a prefix was used in Commodore's product names, to identify Commodore as the manufacturer (like, "CBM 1541")
