Buzz Buzz

Buzz Buzz is a character in the Super Nintendo role playing game EarthBound. He is described as looking like a bee (though he says himself "A bee I am...not"), and is seen only as a few pixels around Ness's head accompanied by a buzzing sound. Buzz Buzz arrives in Ness's time apparently through the use of the meteorite that crashed in the mountains near Ness's home. Buzz Buzz emerges from the meteorite in a beam of light and tells Ness that he is from ten years in the future, where "all is devastation" because of the cosmic destroyer, Giygas. On the path home from the meteorite, the group is ambushed by Starman Junior. During the ensuing fight, Buzz Buzz protects the party through the use of PSI Shield Epsilon. Ness then returns brothers Pokey and Picky to their home, and while exiting, Buzz Buzz is smashed by the woman of the house, Lardna Minch. Buzz Buzz remarks that he was weaker than he thought, and gives an important item, the Sound Stone, to Ness before dying. Before finally kicking the bucket, Buzz Buzz makes a long speech to Ness about the quest that lies before him. After the conclusion of the speech, Buzz Buzz remarks that everything is starting to fade, but asks if Ness would like hear the speech again. Finally, Buzz Buzz perishes, and his sprite fades away.
