Bull Run is a census-designated place located in Prince William County, Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 11,337.
Geography
Bull Run is located at 38°47'6" North, 77°31'25" West (38.785090, -77.523577)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.9 km² (2.7 mi²). 6.9 km² (2.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 11,337 people, 4,728 households, and 2,709 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,633.3/km² (4,237.8/mi²). There are 4,948 housing units at an average density of 712.8/km² (1,849.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 63.45% White, 18.97% African American, 0.27% Native American, 5.46% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 8.04% from other races, and 3.73% from two or more races. 16.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 4,728 households out of which 34.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.3% are married couples living together, 16.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 42.7% are non-families. 32.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.40 and the average family size is 3.03.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 26.5% under the age of 18, 12.4% from 18 to 24, 44.1% from 25 to 44, 12.9% from 45 to 64, and 4.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years. For every 100 females there are 97.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.3 males.
