Bridger is a town located in Carbon County, Montana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 745.
The town of Bridger was named for the mountain man and explorer Jim Bridger.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. The Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone River runs through the eastern part of the town.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 745 people, 313 households, and 200 families residing in the town. The population density is 456.6/km² (1,175.2/mi²). There are 345 housing units at an average density of 211.4/km² (544.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.12% White, 0.00% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. 3.62% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 313 households out of which 28.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.2% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.1% are non-families. 31.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.36 and the average family size is 2.94.
