Brandon—Souris is the name of a federal electoral district in Manitoba, Canada. Its population is 83,510. (2001) It is currently represented by Conservative Member of Parliament Merv Tweed.
Geography
The district is in the extreme southwestern part of the Province of Manitoba. It is bordered by the electoral district of Dauphin—Swan River—Marquette to the North, the electoral district of Portage—Lisgar to the East, the Canada-United States border to the South, and the Province of Saskatchewan to the West.
History
The electoral district was created in 1952 from the previous districts of Brandon and Souris.
