Braine-le-Château is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On January 1st, 2004 Braine-le-Château had a total population of 9,381 (4,572 males and 4,809 females). The total area is 22.70 km² which gives a population density of 413.30 inhabitants per km².
Braine-le-Château is a medieval village in which remains many buildings from the Middle-Age. Among them are the pillory (1521), the village mill (ca. 1200), the " Maison du Bailli " (ca. 1535).
