Brief background
BookmarkSync was originally developed by Michael Berneis and Terence Way and run as a commercial product. After a server failure in September 2003, the entire project was open sourced. It is now kept at SourceForge where it is maintained by its community of users.
What it does
The BookmarkSync client runs as a small program in your system tray and monitors the bookmarks in your browsers, uploading any changes to a central server. This allows one to keep browsers across separate computers synchronized.
