Bocote (Cordia alliodora) is a tropical flowering tree in the genus Cordia, family Boraginaceae. It can reach 35 m in height. It is also sometimes known as "Spanish elm" or "freijo".
Uses
The wood is used for boat decking, furniture, cabinetry and guitar/bass building luthiers. Sometimes substitutes for mahogany or teak.Template:Plant-stub
