Blaster Learning System

The Blaster Learning System was created by Davidson, but is now owned by Knowledge Adventure. Originally this series simply taught mathematics. The Math Blaster series of products became very popular. Then in 1994, Davidson introduced Reading Blaster which also became successful. A Science Blaster was introduced 1996, but didn't become as popular as its predecessors, probably because of Knowledge Adventure's takeover.
In the first game, the main characters were Blasternaut, a cheesy sci-fi astronaut spoof, and Spot, his robot companion. In the second game, Galactic Commander, a female superior officer from base joined their trio. She later became known as G.C. These three characters were the main characters in many of the games. Their images changed rapidly, for example, Spot eventually became a robotic dog.
In other games in the series, the main character is Rave, a green creature who's constantly foiling the plots of a mad scientist named Doctor Dabble.
A smaller amount of games in the series have had different main characters also.
