Bitpop

Bitpop is a type of electronic music, where at least part of the music is made using old 8-bit computers or game consoles. Popular choices are the Commodore 64 and Game Boy. Two major publishers of bitpop are Relax Beat & Bleepstreet Records. Examples of bands in the genre are The Hardliner, Welle: Erdball, Machinae Supremacy, Pluxus, Khonnor, Puss, Monster & Maskiner, Mr. Pacman, 1987, GOTO80, Covox, firestARTer, Pontonius, and Slagsmålsklubben.
(The name is a pun on britpop and bit.)
