Biscoe is a town located in Montgomery County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,700.

Geography
Biscoe is located at 35°21'38" North, 79°46'49" West (35.360450, -79.780278)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²). 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,700 people, 535 households, and 393 families residing in the town. The population density is 329.8/km² (855.8/mi²). There are 572 housing units at an average density of 111.0/km² (287.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 58.35% White, 24.47% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.59% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 15.47% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 23.24% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 535 households out of which 38.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% are married couples living together, 14.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% are non-families. 21.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.97 and the average family size is 3.42.
In the town the population is spread out with 28.6% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 19.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 87.3 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $35,667, and the median income for a family is $37,500. Males have a median income of $23,214 versus $21,089 for females. The per capita income for the town is $15,302. 11.8% of the population and 8.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 16.4% of those under the age of 18 and 6.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
