Berea is a district of Lesotho. It has an area of 2,222 km2 and a population of approximately 300,000 (2001). Teyateyaneng is the capital of the district.
Berea is also an alternate name, especially used in older versions of the Bible, for the ancient city of Beroea, now know as Veria. According to the Bible, Berea was visited by Paul of Tarsus: see Bereans.
