Benham class destroyer

Ten Benham class destroyers were commissioned into United States Navy during years 1938 and 1939. Two of the ships were lost during WW II.
- DD-397 USS Benham, torpedoed by Japanese at Battle of Guadalcanal November 15 1942

- DD-404 USS Rhind
- DD-405 USS Rowan, torpedoed by German E-boats while on convoy duty between Salerno and Oran September 11 1943

- DD-407 USS Sterett
- DD-408 USS Wilson
USS Maury (DD-401) and USS Mayrant (DD-402) were built concurrently with the Benham class, but are Gridley-class destroyers.
