The band Behemoth
Behemoth are an influential Polish black/death metal band. They are considered to have played one of the most important roles in establishing the Polish black metal underground, alongside Graveland and Sacrilegium. Until a few years ago, the band played rather classical black metal with a heathen lyrical content, but changed its image to a more satanic one. This coincided with an increase in musical craftsmanship that allowed them to expand out of the black metal underground and garnered them with some international recognition. Because of this, they are considered "traitors" by some black metal purists.
