Fairhaven Township is a township in Huron County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,259.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 150.3 km² (58.0 mi²). 54.6 km² (21.1 mi²) of it is land and 95.7 km² (37.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 63.67% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,259 people, 537 households, and 353 families residing in the township. The population density is 23.1/km² (59.7/mi²). There are 770 housing units at an average density of 14.1/km² (36.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.17% White, 0.00% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.79% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. 2.14% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 537 households out of which 29.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% are non-families. 30.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
