The Battle of Stoney Creek was a battle fought on June 6, 1813 during the War of 1812 near Stoney Creek, Ontario. In the battle, a British and Canadian force of 700 under John Vincent defeated an American force three times its size under William Winder and John Chandler, prompting an American withdrawal from the Niagara Peninsula.
