The Battle of Mühlberg was a huge battle that consisted of equal numbers of troops on both sides. The Schmalkaldic League officers could not agree to any sort of military actions on the battlefield, thereby allowing Charles V and his forces to run through the League's defenses.

Muhlberg is a town on the Elbe River, 35 miles (56 km) NW of Dresden, where the Catholics in Germany defeated the Protestants on April 24, 1547.Template:Mil-stub
