Bass Coast Shire

Bass Coast Shire is a Local Government Area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the south-eastern part of the state. It includes the towns of Cowes (and the rest of the popular tourist destination, Phillip Island), Inverloch and Wonthaggi. It has an area of 859 square kilometres. In 2001 it had a population of 24,500.
