Barrymore family

The Barrymore family is a famous theatrical and movie family in the United States. Its most recent famous member is actress Drew Barrymore. The family has gained a reputation for both its acting talent and its tendencies for drug and alcohol abuse.
Actor Herbert Arthur Chamberlayne Blyth (1849-1905), who was born in India and educated in England, took the stage name of Maurice Barrymore. He married actress Georgianna "Georgie" Emma Drew (1856-1893), herself from a stage family: her brother (John Drew the younger (1853-1927)) and her parents John Drew the elder and Louisa Lane Drew (best known as an adult as Mrs. John Drew (1820-1897)), were all actors. Louisa, born in Great Britain, had toured the United States as a child star and was herself the child of actors.
Maurice and Georgie had three famous children, all renowned actors:
- Lionel Barrymore - (April 28, 1878 - November 15, 1954)
- Ethel Barrymore - (August 15, 1879 - June 18, 1959)
- John Barrymore - (February 14, 1888 - May 29, 1942)
John Barrymore and his third wife, Dolores Costello, were the parents of actor:
John Drew Barrymore and his first wife, actress Cara Williams, had one son together:
John Drew Barrymore and his third wife, Ildiko Jaid Mako (aka actress Jaid Barrymore), had one daughter together:
