Barry Trotz (born July 15, 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is the head coach of NHL ice hockey team Nashville Predators.
He became the coach of Predators in 1998, when the team was created. As of 2004, Trotz remains the only coach of the team. He holds the record for most games coached by the first coach of an NHL expansion franchise. Oddly, the record was previously held by Terry Crisp who is now the radio and TV broadcaster of the Nashville Predators.
