Joan Hanham

Cllr Joan Brownlow Hanham, Baroness Hanham CBE (born 23 September, 1939) is a Conservative member of the House of Lords and was leader of the Kensington and Chelsea Council from 1989. She was made a Life Peer in 1999.
In 1999, Hanham was a candidate for the re-run Conservative nomination to be Mayor of London, losing to Steve Norris.
Hanham is also Chairman of St. Mary's Hospital NHS Trust and Westminster Primary Care Trust. She became a Freeman of the City of London in 1984 and was awarded the CBE in 1997.
