Bannockburn is a village located in Lake County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 1,429. It is named for the Scottish village of Bannockburn. The racial makeup of the village is 87.54% White, 3.36% African American, 0.07% Native American, 5.11% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 1.68% from other races, and 2.17% from two or more races. 3.50% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
