Bainbridge Township, Geauga County, Ohio

Bainbridge is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Geauga County, Ohio, and is also one of sixteen civil townships in that county. Bainbridge Township is formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve. The township encompasses both the CDP and areas outside the CDP. As of the 2000 census, Bainbridge had a total population of 10,916; 3,417 of whom reside in the CDP.

Bainbridge is located at 41°23'44" North, 81°20'8" West (41.395654, -81.335550)Template:GR. It borders or touches the following other townships and municipalities:
- The city of Aurora, on the south;
- The village of Reminderville, on the southwest (touches, but does not border);
- The city of Solon, on the west;
- The village of Chagrin Falls, on the northwest;
- The village of Bentleyville, also on the northwest;
- The village of South Russell, on the north;
- Newbury Township, on the northeast (touches, but does not border);
- Auburn Township, on the east;
- Mantua Township, Portage County, on the southeast (touches, but does not border);
The township covers a total area of 25 mi². According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 8.9 km² (3.4 mi²). 8.7 km² (3.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.03% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,417 people, 1,261 households, and 978 families residing in the community. The population density is 391.5/km² (1,013.5/mi²). There are 1,301 housing units at an average density of 149.1/km² (385.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 97.25% White, 0.73% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.70% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. 0.61% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,261 households out of which 38.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.4% are non-families. 20.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.70 and the average family size is 3.12.
The population is spread out with 28.1% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 30.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 88.6 males.
The median income for a household in the community is $87,888, and the median income for a family is $96,803. Males have a median income of $67,188 versus $38,469 for females. The per capita income for the community is $38,229. 2.1% of the population and 1.7% of families are below the poverty line.
