Babaji may refer to:
- a Saivite Hindu guru
- A song by Supertramp about the former
- Mahavatar Babaji, referred to by Paramahansa Yogananda in his best-selling Autobiography of a Yogi.

Mahavatar Babaji. Guru to Lahiri Mahasaya. According to Yogananda Babaji's birth name is Nagaraj. Babaji is said to have revived the ancient practise of Kriya Yoga by teaching it to Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861.
Babaji in Hindi is a generic title and may be used to refer to any saint or guru.
There have been various claims and controversy regarding various personalities identified by devotees as Babaji the guru of Lahiri Mahasaya such as "The old Haidakhan Baba."
A more recent appearance was claimes as that of Hariakhan Wale Babaji. Quote:"Pinda Kacha, Sabda Sacha,The body is perishable, Sound is eternal" who appeared in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas in 1970, referred to as Babaji by some of his Indian and Western desciples.
There are several supposed biographies of Babaji. At least one was prepared by the description given by Yogananda after Babaji met him before Yogananda's departure to United States. There is another biography written in Hindi by a devotee of Babaji named Mahendra Dasa Babaji, the souce of an English version called: "Babaji known - unknown" by Baba Hari Dasa.
There are several other Hindu gurus who have been given the title of babaji, including some who are still alive. Most of them live in India or the United States.
