BBC Radio Gloucestershire

BBC Radio Gloucestershire is the BBC Local Radio service for the English county of Gloucestershire, starting in October 1988. It broadcasts from its studios in London Rd, Gloucester on 95 (Stroud), 95.8 (Cirencester), 104.7 (Churchdown Hill, 1 km north of M5 J11a) FM and 1413 (Bourton-on-the-Water and Berkeley Heath) AM.
The strongest signal is 104.7FM, though it is only north Gloucestershire that gets a clear signal; the south of the county would not be near enough for FM. The transmitter is not particularly high, is next to two mobile phone masts, and relatively under-powered. The transmitter also broadcasts Severn Sound on 102.4 FM. The Stroud transmitter also has Severn Sound on 103FM, and Star 107.9.
From 7pm - 1am each weekday, all BBC local radio stations in the West share the same two programmes. These are those in the Points West TV area, based in Bristol.
