Ascalaphus

In Greek mythology, two people share the name Ascalaphus.
- Son of Acheron and Orphne. He told the other gods that Persephone had eaten a pomegranate in Hades. He was punished by being changed into an owl. (Ovid V, 534)
- Son of Astyoche and Ares, King of Orchomenus. He was one of the Argonauts and died in the Trojan War. (Iliad XIII, 518)
