Arthur Wellesley, 4th Duke of Wellington

Sir Arthur Charles Wellesley, 4th Duke of Wellington (March 15, 1849 - June 18, 1934) was an English soldier.
His parents were Major-General Lord Charles Wellesley and Augusta Sophia Anne Pierrepont. He died at Ewhurst Park, Basingstoke, Hampshire, and was buried three days later at Stratfield Saye House, Basingstoke, Hampshire, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Wellington.
He married Kathleen Emily Bulkeley Williams, daughter of Captain Robert Griffith Williams and Mary Anne Geale, on October 24, 1872.
He served as an officer in the Grenadier Guards, achieving the ranks of Ensign and Lieutenant on 13 June 1868, the rank of Captain on 15 February 1871, the rank Lieutenant-Colonel on 5 April 1879 and the ranks of Major and Colonel on August 1, 1887.
He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order on May 2, 1902, and as a Knight of the Order of the Garter on 8 August 1902. He was also awarded the Spanish decoration of the Grand Cross of Charles III, and the Portuguese decoration of the Grand Cross of the Tower and Sword.
He had six children :
