Artabanus

Artabanus was the name of two noblemen of Persia:
- Artabanus was the younger brother of king Darius I of Persia, and satrap of Bactria in the early 5th century BC. He appears in the Histories of Herodotus of Halicarnassus.
- Artabanus the Hyrcanian was reportedly Regent of Persia for a few months in 465–464 BC.
Artabanus was the name of four kings of ancient Parthia:
- Artabanus I c. 127–124 BC
- Artabanus II c. AD 10–38
- Artabanus III c. 80–90
- Artabanus IV c. 216–224
King Arsaces II of Parthia is called Artabanus by some early scholars.
