Arnold is a census-designated place located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 23,422.

Geography
Arnold is located at 39°2'50" North, 76°29'48" West (39.047263, -76.496552)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 34.7 km² (13.4 mi²). 28.0 km² (10.8 mi²) of it is land and 6.8 km² (2.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 19.46% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 23,422 people, 8,373 households, and 6,396 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 837.3/km² (2,168.7/mi²). There are 8,623 housing units at an average density of 308.3/km² (798.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 91.49% White, 4.83% African American, 0.18% Native American, 1.49% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from other races, and 1.38% from two or more races. 1.89% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 8,373 households out of which 40.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% are married couples living together, 9.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% are non-families. 18.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.76 and the average family size is 3.15.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 27.8% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 93.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 90.1 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP is $74,002, and the median income for a family is $83,633. Males have a median income of $52,345 versus $36,337 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $31,236. 3.0% of the population and 2.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 2.9% of those under the age of 18 and 3.5% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Anne Arundel Community College is located in Arnold along College Parkway, and is annually rated one of the top community colleges in the nation.
The Bay Hills Golf Course is in Arnold.
Arnold was named for country music pioneer Eddy Arnold.

George's Restaurant is located in the Bay Hills shopping center. It is a small Greek and Italian restaurant serving elegant entrees along with pizza and subs. O'Loughin's Restaurant is also located in the same shopping center and has a bar.
