Al Mustaqilla
|
Al Mustaqilla, or The Independent, was a newspaper published out of Baghdad, Iraq, started after the removal of Saddam Hussein. It was ordered shut down by the Coalition Provisional Authority on July 22, 2003, after it was accused of publishing an article inciting readers to "commit murder" [1] (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iraq/2003/07/iraq-030722-voa10.htm).
Its former editor-in-chief was Dhari Al Duleimi.
