Air Seychelles is the national airline of Seychelles, an island nation in the Indian Ocean just to the east of Tanzania. It operates inter-island services and international flights.

Code Data
History
The airline was established on 15 September 1977 as Seychelles Airlines and adopted the present title in March 1979. It started international routes in 1983 to Frankfurt and London. It is wholely owned by the Seychelles government and employs 669 staff.
2005 News
In the wake of the December 2004 tsunami Air Seychelles reduced schedules to the Maldives. The Mahe to Malé service was cut from two to one weekly flight and the connecting Mahe to Johannesburg service from four to three weekly flights (ref: Airliner World, March 2005).
Air Seychelles will return its leased Boeing 737-700 to International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) in April 2005 following rationalisation of the route network. The fleet will reduce to 2 Boeing 767s, 1 Shorts 360 and 2 Twin Otters (ref: Airliner World, April 2005).

- Mahe to Frankfurt, Johannesburg, London, Male, Mauritius, Mumbai, Paris, Rome, Singapore and Zurich
- Mahe to Praslin, Bird Island, Denis Island, Desroches Island and Alphonse Island
