Air Midwest Airlines

Air Midwest is a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group and operates as part of US Airways Express, a network of nine regional airlines operating under a code share and service agreement with US Airways, and in its own right. It also operates services for Essential Air Service. It is based in Wichita, Kansas and started commercial scheduled passenger services in 1965. In July 1991 it was acquired by Mesa Airlines, which entered into the code sharing agreement with US Airways.
Air Midwest also has aircraft operating as America West Express under an agreement with America West Airlines in Phoenix and in independent operations as Mesa Airlines division of Albuquerque and Dallas. Air Midwest operates from hubs in Kansas City, Tampa, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte.

Air Midwest currently operates a fleet of 35 Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, 20 in service for US Airways Express and the rest with America West Express and Mesa Airlines.
