Addictive (band)
|
Addictive were an Australian thrash metal band, who formed in 1988 and stopped in 1993. They were part of the Sydney thrash metal scene of the late 1980s. They were particularly influenced by Metallica and Sacred Reich.
History
The original lineup of the band was Greg Smith (vocals and bass), Joe Buttigieg (guitar), Mick Sultana (guitar) and Matt Coffey (drums).
Their first album was Pity Of Man, released November 1989. Steve Moore (previously of Enticer) replaced Coffey on drums. Their second album, Kick 'Em Hard, was recorded with producer Bob Daisley. The tapes for the album went missing for over a year, and it was finally released in February 1993, by which time the band had stopped.
As of 2004, guitarists Buttigieg and Sultana have joined the reformed line up of fellow legendary Sydney thrash band Mortal Sin.
